My Field of Research

My field of research is Organizational Behavior, or Organizational Psychology. Organizational Behavior deals with human attitudes, motivation, behavior, and decision making in an organization. I am now interested in Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). As well known, OCB has been paid attention mainly by Western researchers since the early 1980s. Chinese OCB research using their original OCB scales has started since 1990s. However, Japanese OCB research is much behind Western and other Asian research. I am sure Japanese OCB research is quite important because Japanese organizations usually do not have a well-defined job description to control their employees and they depend on their employeesf discretionary behaviors much more than Western ones.

I really love to listen to various kinds of music using a tube amplifier. My office has several amplifiers with classic tubes (which were produced before the World War II). My favorite tubes are 71A, 45, and 2A3 (My main amplifier uses PX-4, however). I am interested in YPM label and MA recordings. Although many people have no idea about these labels, most of their CDs are really good. I also enjoy listening to Junko Yano, who has been active as a musician mainly in Kochi prefecture, and watching the Takarazuka Revue Company.
